The Brief: Celebrating Exceeded Targets with a Tailored European Reward
After an outstanding year where the team smashed their performance goals, Rockitfish wanted to say a proper thank you. We needed a high-end, memorable getaway for 20 staff members to celebrate their dedication and hard work over the previous 12 months.
Key Event Requirements: Create an inclusive, fun environment to unwind and celebrate for a close-knit group of 20 attendees.
The Solution: A Bespoke Budapest Experience
Rockitfish designed and delivered a tailored 4-day, 3-night corporate reward programme showcasing the very best of Budapest:
1. Destination Selection: Continental Hotel Budapest
After exploring multiple city options across Europe, Budapest emerged as the firm favourite due to its short flight duration and high flight frequency from London airports, paired with an exciting array of local activities and cultural sights. We arranged a 3-night stay at the 4* Continental Hotel Budapest, ideally located in the vibrant party district, within walking distance of the Danube River and iconic historic landmarks.
2. Immersive Team Activities: iPad City Exploration, Strudel Demonstation & Rooftop Views
The second day plunged the team straight into exploring the city through an interactive iPad City Rally, followed by a scenic riksa tour taking delegates to the famous First Strudel House of Pest. Here, the group feasted on a traditional Hungarian dinner accompanied by an interactive demonstration revealing the authentic art of strudel-making. To round off the evening, we guided the group to two of Budapest's most prestigious rooftop venues High Note Sky Bar and Liz & Chain Bar where we enjoyed drinks while taking in panoramic views of the city’s striking architecture.
3. Countryside to City: Wine Tasting, Danube Speed Boat & Iconic Ruin Bars
We took the group out of the city and into the beautiful Hungarian countryside, just under an hour away. The trip coincided with The Etyek Piknik, a local Cheese & Wine festival, giving the team the morning to explore and sample delicious local produce. The group enjoyed a stunning lunch overlooking the vineyards accompanied by live local music. Upon returning to the city, the team embarked on an exhilarating speed boat cruise along the Danube, followed by a delicious three-course dinner at Twenty Six Restaurant. To complete the ultimate Budapest experience, we arranged post-dinner drinks in the city's iconic Ruin Bars.
4. Closing Adventures: City Park & Departure
After checking out of the hotel on Sunday morning, we organised a variety of tailored activities in and around The City Park for guests to choose from based on their personal preferences:
- Relaxing in the iconic Széchenyi Thermal Baths
- Experiencing the immersive audio-visual Sound Dome
- Taking in panoramic views on the Balloonfly tethered hot-air balloon
- Enjoying a guided Electric Bus Tour of the park's landmarks
The group then gathered for a farewell lunch at Robinsons, a picturesque lakeside restaurant in the park, before departing to the airport for their return flight to London.
