The Brief: Planning an Engaging & Inclusive Annual Staff Celebration

Following a busy operational year, our corporate client was determined to deliver an unforgettable daytime and evening experience to celebrate their team's hard work. The core goal was to create an inclusive, high-energy environment that brought colleagues together across different departments through lighthearted activity and evening entertainment.

Key Event Requirements: Multi-Zone Activities & Seamless Evening Transition

The client required a versatile venue space capable of accommodating interactive outdoor team challenges and lounge zones. To make the day accessible to all staff members regardless of physical ability, the activities needed to focus on fun, nostalgia, and creative participation rather than high-stakes competition. 

The Solution: An Immersive "Funtasia" Multi-Zone Experience

1. Concept & Venue Setup: The "Funtasia" Realm

To bring this vision to life, Rockitfish conceptualized and produced "Funtasia" a vibrant, retro-inspired event design focused on nostalgic play and team interaction. We transformed the venue into three distinct activity zones giving guests total freedom to explore at their own pace.

2. Multi-Zone Activity Design & Interactive Decor

To maximize guest engagement throughout the afternoon, attendees explored three custom activity zones:

  • Disney Movie Mayhem: An interactive character-led zone featuring tropical animal encounters, live character hosts, and themed prop installations.
  • Playground Antics: A high-energy outdoor zone hosting head-to-head inflatable team challenges, including Giant Hungry Hippos and looping bike tracks.
  • Retro Toy Mania: An arcade setup complete with classic retro consoles, Etch-a-Sketches, Giant Top Trumps, and interactive reaction games.
  • Creative Twist: Traditional scoring was replaced with a coloured marble collection system awarded by event hosts for team spirit, encouraging lighthearted engagement over strict competition.

3. Evening Transformation & Live Entertainment

As dusk fell, Rockitfish executed a seamless transition from day to night:

  • Moroccan Sunset Lounge: A ambient outdoor gazebo setup complete with low seating, atmospheric lighting, Shisha lounges, and a professional Henna tattooist.
  • Themed Food: Food stations including Pac Man Pizzas, Nemo Fish'n' Chips and Paella Pinball.
