Ultimate Bake Off Challenge
We designed an Ultimate Bake Off Challenge to test the initiative, teamwork and communications skills of our budding bakers. Our professional pastry chef took charge of proceedings and guided them through rules, recipes and results. Teams competed head to head across 4 challenges – the Showstopper (2 tier cake), the Star Bake (spiced gingerbread biscuits), Technical (macaroons) and a bonus Surprise round (savoury and sweet scones).
Chef shared tips and demonstrated techniques, while teams got to grips with piping, icing, decorating… and timing; with penalties for untidy stations, undercooked cake or soggy bottoms!
