I took a visit to the intriguing Pines Calyx last week. A unique venue, overlooking the white cliffs of Dover in the tiny village of St Margaret’s Bay, it claims to have the lowest carbon footprint of any UK venue.

The award-winning event space is zero-carbon - built from the local chalk, with furniture and appliances made from recycled materials. The venue setting offers stunning views from their landscaped gardens.

There’s plenty of outdoor space, including the gardens, perfect for team activities or meetings in the fresh air. There’s also a yurt providing a unique location for smaller meetings.

And mustn’t forget the ‘furry’ Mangalica pigs and speed boat rides! It really is a special location, and only 80 minutes from London.
