It’s not often that in a 20-year career in events you find a new venue that completely blows your mind and that’s exactly what happened when we found Waresley Park this June when requiring a summer party venue for 400 people close to their Cambridge offices.

Apart from fantastic location, less than 30 minutes’ drive from the centre of Cambridge, it offers a truly unique experience with multiple event spaces which include a beach and lake, beautiful lawns, a fantastic main house (with bedrooms, pool and games room!), as well as an Italian garden and a tennis court, all which can be utilised if needed or you can just hire the parts that work for your event or size of group. Due to the size and nature of event we took over the entire site to have an exclusive retreat style feel to the day but whatever area you choose you can still be guaranteed privacy and a great functional space.

What sets this venue apart from the competition is its partnership with local networks in offering bespoke activity options such as bee keeping, coffee tasting workshop (and even has its own roastery and coffee shop onsite), as well as stand up paddleboarding or if brave enough some freshwater lake swimming.

Its all supported by a team who take complete pride in delivering the perfect event for their guests and are on hand to support with whatever your needs are throughout the entire event from start to finish. 

In the evening once dark, we put on a Hydroshow on the lake, and for those that have never seen or heard of this, it’s a giant 30m wide water fountain positioned on a lake that can be projected on with video footage, lights and lasers for a truly memorable alternative to fireworks. 

Despite the incredible location, perfect for outside events this venue is suited to those looking for a retreat style event who want a mix of wellness activities and outside fun – we had a full mix of options including live music and performance acts as well as a selection of activities and games as well as some bee keeping, coffee tasting and some Tennis.
