The Brief
This brief was everchanging, keeping our creative juices flowing throughout and we loved every minute of it. What started off as a weekend overseas for a team of 100 to reconnect for the first time since the pandemic, turned in to 5 days with not only fun and inclusive activities but also business content with a full company meeting and strategising time for the product and R&D teams. The guestlist also doubled due to the ever-expanding team, with 200 people confirmed just 3 weeks before the event and guests flying in globally.
The Project
Barcelona was the ideal location, offering the best of beach and city life andexcellent flight connections which was key for this global team. Due to the rapidly growing guestlist the group were split across 3 equally beautiful hotels, each with their own quirks, rooftop pools and 360? views and all within walking distance, simplifying onsite logistics. Occidental Atenea Mar was the main hub with a company ‘All Hands’ kicking off in the main conference space, an important meeting as it was the first one with the whole team face-to-face. Four of the hotel’s five meeting rooms were also used for smaller team breakout sessions.
Keeping the itinerary varied and interactive we organised a number of activities across the event. Guests were surprised by laughter yoga for the perfect morning energiser. They were whisked away to the port to board their exclusive Catamaran – with the sun shining, drinks flowing, BBQ grilling and the Co-founder on the decks, some of the team participated in their very own talent show! And for the final full day guests embarked on a gentle guided Montserrat trek, experiencing breath taking views that were not to be missed followed by lunch in an exclusive mountain venue.
A number of exquisite offsite dinners were enjoyed including exclusive hire of beachfront venue Can Fisher serving a family style tapas menu from an open kitchen, making the cooking a true theatrical experience. The stunning Sea Garden, set on the marina, was the perfect setting for a private ‘club’ with informal catering, extended talent show and awards night. All furniture, catering and production were brought in specifically to our design with additional touches of branded menus and client logo projections to give a more exclusive VIP feel.
Fiskebar then hosted the farewell dinner, offering the perfect combination of chilled vibes, abundant food stations, branded cocktails, edgey DJs and of course the last of the client's talent show. With just thirty minutes to go before the night (and Rockitfish program) were due to close, we were tasked with a challenge…the guests needed an after party, within half hour the Rockitfish team had 120 people in an exclusive area with VIP wristbands in none other than Carpe Diem. The best end to a fantastic week in Barcelona!
