Our client has hosted their AGM at the Sofitel St James for the past few years. Sadly with the global Covid-19 pandemic this was not possible in 2020. Typically, this event has 50 attendees and includes a mix of presentations and business updates hosted by the CEO.
To communicate updates and key messages to their clients and staff in an engaging way, we produced a hybrid event – combining a physical location for presentations with an online audience. To make this happen we created a remote studio within the Sofitel St James Hotel. We streamed the CEO’s messages live to the remote audience via an online event portal. We also incorporated pre-recorded presentations from 6 speakers which we had filmed the previous day from the the client's office.
To add to the user experience and make it more interactive we incorporated a Q&A section whereby the attendees could type their question into the portal and the presenters could answer in real time.
Considering the limitations of lockdowns and travel restrictions this was a great alternative solution to a live event and was deemed a success with both our client's Team and their attendees.
Overall an engaging way to communicate effectively and consistently with the business and to external parties in a Covid-secure environment.
