Alice in Wonderland Christmas Party
Brief
After a successful virtual Christmas party the previous year, the our client planning committee were keen to have the same impact but with everyone back together in person. They wanted to create a fun, exciting atmosphere that rivalled all live parties held in the past. It was important to the team that the party was memorable, with plenty of photo opportunities throughout. The venue would need to have capacity for up to 1000 guests, with space for a band, dancefloor, catering and additional entertainment.
Solution
To make the event extra special, we recommended 8 Northumberland Avenue, a blank canvas central London venue with endless possibilities for theming. This year’s Christmas theme was Alice in Wonderland, which gave us plenty of scope for creativity.
The group were split between two floors – upstairs an impressive ballroom, themed for a Queen of Hearts Ball and downstairs the Old Billiard Room and Annexe, themed with wacky props from giant toadstools to towering teacups! Guests could take photos in front of the giant artificial grass wall and under the heart-shaped, rose-covered archway. We further incorporated the theming into other elements of the event, such as catering. We provided "drink me" tags for the cocktails, heart skewers for the burgers, pick n mix sweet stand and even a station where guests could try nitrogen ice cream and edible bubble-gum flavoured balloons. To keep everyone entertained all evening, we had a DJ on both floors, karaoke set up downstairs and roaming entertainment including our favourite dancing disco bunnies!
