Brief
Our client reached out to Rockitfish initially to help secure a venue. The event was to be a week-long company retreat for their 180 global staff – their first gathering post Covid-19. The dates were locked-in and they had identified Lisbon as the preferred destination. But with less than 2 months to go, they were struggling to find a venue.
Solution
After an extensive search we landed on a venue - not in Lisbon, not even in Portugal, but in Sitges, 20 minutes outside Barcelona. Other than not being the original intended location, Hotel Dolce Sitges ticked all the boxes.
After a recent revamp, the hotel was perfect, with a Soho House vibe and over 200 bedrooms. It offered a resort feel, including pool, along with extensive meeting and event spaces.
We managed the entire 5 day programme including flights, delegate management, two off-site dinners, airport transfers to and from the hotel throughout the week and all conference requirements.
In the middle of the week the hotel hosted a BBQ on their terrace with live acoustic music and fireworks.
The group were entertained offsite during the programme at 2 distinctly different venues. Ther first of these was Clos la Plana - a small private medieval farmhouse in the hills surrounding Sitges. The venue worked well for the our client brand and hosted a low-key, casual evening, with a dozen food and drink stations, followed by a DJ and dancing.
The final evening of the week was a gala dinner at the historic, disused winery of Cavas Cordorniu. Here guests enjoyed a fantastic three-course meal, entertainment from traditional Spanish musicians and flamenco dancers and a DJ into the small hours.
We partnered with the team at Rockitfish for a company-wide week-long event. We looked for their support at short notice, and they secured an incredible venue, supported us throughout with high impact evening events with wonderful attention to the smaller details, and support throughout with the complex logistics of the event. The team couldn't have done more to help the event run seamlessly, and quickly built trust, great rapport and exceptional delivery pre, during and post the event. We feel fortunate to have found them and are already working together on planning future company wide events.
