Incentive Trip to Marrakech
Brief
Our client contacted us to organise their annual team incentive, having previously skied this year they decided to swap snow for sand and head to the enchanting Moroccan city of Marrakech. The brief was clear this trip had to be high end luxury to reward some very high hitters from the team.
A 4-Day Corporate Incentive in Marrakech: Culture, Collaboration, and Camaraderie
The Rockitfish team helped a client to swap boardrooms for bustling souks and spreadsheets for spices as they embarked on a 4-day corporate incentive in the vibrant city of Marrakech, Morocco. The trip blended team bonding and immersive cultural experiences—all set against the backdrop of one of North Africa’s most iconic destinations.
Day 1: Arrival & A Warm Moroccan Welcome
We touched down at Marrakech Menara Airport under a brilliant blue sky, greeted by warm sunshine and even warmer hospitality. Our home for the trip was the luxurious 5 star Barriere Le Naoura Hotel, hidden away in the heart of Marrakech and offering a tranquil contrast to the city vibrant energy.
After settling in, we kicked off the incentive with a delicious welcome dinner of global cuisine at the hotel. The night was an ideal relaxed start and helped people to acclimatise with cross-departmental collaboration before the itinerary really kicked off.
Day 2: Souks & Roofs
The second day began with an exclusive pool side breakfast for the group, with the scent of jasmine in the air and local pastries on the table. Having hit big targets to attend the trip, this team welcomed some time at leisure, where they could enjoy the hotel facilities including the fabulous pool and spa. Some smaller groups decided this was the perfect opportunity to explore the city and the famous souks of Marrakech, bartering or spices, fabrics, and local crafts.
For dinner that evening we transferred the group to the exclusive Nobu rooftop for enchanting cocktails and spectacular bowl food. The rooftop was alive and buzzing with live dancers and DJ’s providing the perfect party vibe against the backdrop of the lit up city and prominent Koutoubia Mosque.
Day 3: Desert Sunrise & Reflections
After the night’s festivities the group enjoyed a slow and relaxed morning at the hotel before being transferred to the afternoon activities. Some of the group opted for a leisurely and informative guided tour of the hidden medinas and secret souks, whereas those looking for an adrenaline boost decided to head to the desert for adventures on quad bikes and dune buggies.
Just when the group thought the fun had ended there was a quick turnaround before departing for a surprise palm grove takeover where we created their very own bespoke and authentic Moroccan experience which included giant Arabian tents, free flowing sun downers, huge tagines, couscous, and zaalouk, with the belly dancers and DJ’s allowing the group to party into the night and to end this epic trip with a bang!
Day 4: Farewell to The Enchanting Red City
Before heading to the airport, the group enjoyed a light farewell lunch on a shaded terrace, toasting to the success of the trip and the journey ahead.
Final Thoughts
Marrakech proved to be more than just a beautiful destination—it was a catalyst for connection, celebration, and collaboration for this hard working team. Stepping outside of the usual business environment allowed everyone to reflect on their recent successes and feel motivated about future business strategies and targets.
