The Brief
With a second amendment of the IET 18.2 wiring regulations looming, NAPIT had a mammoth task of educating the electrical Industry on the changes to the British standards and ensure that their members stay current. Whilst they have delivered a similar roadshow of expos for a numbers of years, this year was different – they wanted it to be bigger and better than ever. And that it was!
The Project
Rockitfish were given the freedom to design a new event concept and brand identity and we had a lot of fun with play on words for this one. ‘Stay Current’ was the concept NAPIT chose for this new campaign. This fresh new vibrant look using NAPIT’s core colours and a huge nod to electricity, the industry and the importance of CPD and staying current was just what was needed.
We used this branding for all event and marketing collateral including their show guides, flyers, social media and exhibition stand design.
They also used the assets for their website, and other marketing campaigns they ran inhouse. As their numbers for these events had trebled from previous years a registration platform was vital for a series of 7 events, inviting over 16,000 members.
We built this simple-to-use platform and could be used for all 7 Roadshows. This ensured members had a smooth registration process on arrival and NAPIT were able to easily send out follow up communications and the all important CPD certificate of attendance.
As this was a roadshow of events across the UK, with only 7 events on the calendar this series, it was important the events were not too close together and avoided other key industry event dates in the area’s chosen. This was to ensure attendance was high in the area.
We mapped out the roadshow and secured the venues best suited to the brief. It was key that venues had 2 large rooms of a similar size, close to each other for both the seminar and the exhibition to be separate and had enough parking for 200+ vans. NAPIT had their own PA equipment so just a screen and projector was required from the venue in terms of production.
The exhibition hall and electrical manufacturers in the room were a key pull for these events for the contractors in attendance and Rockitfish were instrumental in inviting, selling and managing all exhibitor communications.
The exhibition sales were key to the success of the events, and we dedicated a member of the team to managing the exhibition sales and exhibitors. Exhibitors also had the opportunity to provide a branded gift to add to the gift bag that all delegates would receive on arrival. We designed, printed and packed the bags.
With approximately 20 pop up/table-top exhibitors within the space, NAPIT needed a stand space that would stand out from the rest. We designed and the look and feel with a light up back drop, 2 branded counters and a clothes display section. This would be used and would travel to and from each show.
Rockitfish project managed the pre-event and onsite operations and logistics whilst NAPIT could focus on the ticket sales and presentation content. It was a great team and look forward to working on the 2023 series with NAPIT.
